TV star Tyler Christopher passed away on October 31 and fans all over the world are remembering the powerhouse performer who lit up the screen in every scene.

For TV fans, October turned out to be a month of great loss. After Friends star Matthew Perry‘s tragic passing on October 28, Tyler Christopher Baker became the second small-screen celebrity to pass away at the age of 50. Along with Tyler’s role in the NBC soap opera General Hospital, fans remember him for his iconic portrayal of Stefan DiMera in Days of Our Lives. The star was married to Eva Longoria between 2002 and 2004.

Tyler Christopher’s unfortunate passing has saddened fans. Tyler’s co-star from General Hospital Maurice Benard announced the tragic news on Instagram.

He revealed that the TV star died due to a cardiac arrest in his San Diego apartment.

“Tyler was a truly talented individual who lit up the screen in every scene he performed and relished bringing joy to his loyal fans through his acting.

“Tyler was a sweet soul and wonderful friend to all of those who knew him,” his touching tribute to Tyler read.

Along with his role on screen, Tyler was an advocate for better mental health. Maurice shared that Tyler was also struggling with bipolar depression.

“Tyler was an advocate for better mental health and substance use treatment who openly spoke about his struggles with bipolar depression and alcohol. We are beyond devastated by the loss of our dear friend and pray for his children and his father,” Maurice wrote.

“A powerhouse performer”

Fans all over the world remember Tyler Christopher as the powerhouse performer who snagged the Daytime Emmy Award in Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category in 2016.

Gushing over Tyler’s masterclass acting in General Hospital, a user wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “A powerhouse clip of Tyler Christopher from his 43rd Daytime Emmy reel that landed him his final Outstanding Lead Actor win for #GH. Every word, every expression, filled with raw, authentic devastation. I was so moved by the depth in his performance.”
